Where do I begin? after ONDOY?!

This is what climate change is all about!

Rainfall: quantity of water that falls to the ground during a given period. When classified according to the rate of precipitation, rain can be divided into:
  • Very light rain — when the precipitation rate is below 0.25 mm/hour
  • Light rain — when the precipitation rate is between 0.25 mm/hour - 1.0 mm/hour
  • Moderate rain — when the precipitation rate is between 1.0 mm/hour - 4.0 mm/hour
  • Heavy rain — when the precipitation rate is between 4.0 mm/hour - 16.0 mm/hour
  • Very heavy rain — when the precipitation rate is between 16.0 mm/hour - 50 mm/hour
  • Extreme rain — when the precipitation rate is above 50.0 mm/hour
Ondoy dumped the heaviest rainfall on capital Manila in more than four decades...

The amount of rainfall in nine hours yesterday (September 26, 2009) was more than the average monthly rainfall.

The total rainfall for the period reached 410.6 millimeters (16 inches), breaking the previous single-day record of 334 millimeters in July 1967.

Just this afternoon I visited my mother's place in Q.C., and (after 22 years) Ondoy flooded neck deep our house.

I do not know where to start. Everything is a mess!

My only consolation is everybody is safe and unharmed.

This is what climate change is all about!

The way to start is to rekindle one's faith in God. Many have forgotten to say thank you for the blessings received each day - be they small or big. Material things are important but leading a life for purposive good of others is more valuable above all else.
