Concentration

Concentration

According to Nancy Ho, "When in deep meditation, Buddhist monks are able to shut down their five senses, and go into a deep and trance-like state." She said that, "almost anyone can concentrate and achieve super-human results." She also said that, "any task that requires a certain amount of mental effort naturally requires concentration. The greater the mental effort the greater the concentration." She enumerated things that can affect our ability to concentrate: (1) lack of sleep , (2) stress, (3) worry and anxiety, (4) disease and illness, (5) and poor nutrition. She suggested few things that you can do: (1) exercise regularly, (2) a proper balanced diet, (3) learn to breathe deeply and relax yourself, and (4) take time off to recharge.
