On November 2, 2006, Rafael S. Donato, FSC was reported missing after a few hours of swimming off the shores of Morong, Bataan. His body was subsequently retrieved and driven back to Manila.

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Br. Rafael S. Donato FSC. Br. Rafe’s remains lie in state at the National Shrine of the Divine Child (NSDC) Chapel in La Salle Greenhills (LSGH). Members of the Benildean community who wish to pay their respects are advised of the following:

A vehicle will be leaving today at 2:00 and 5:00 pm for the wake. Because seating is limited, please reserve your slot through the Lasallian Ministry Office (loc. 111).
The Benildean community will be sponsoring a Mass and vigil tomorrow, November 4, 2006 (Saturday), 7:00 pm, at the NSDC Chapel in LSGH. Arrangements are currently being made for transport service to be available tomorrow at 5:00 pm from DLS-CSB Taft campus to the wake.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be on November 8, 2006 (Wednesday), at 9:00 am, and will be followed by interment in Lipa.

All those who wish to pay their respects to our beloved Br. Rafe are requested to make donations to the “Foundation for Sharing Lasallian Education” instead of bringing flowers.
