Prayer and Reflection
Friday April 6, 2007
'In this larger narrative, the death and resurrection is not simply a single event that has occurred for the salvation of each individual sinner. Rather it is the climax of God’s purpose for Israel, for humanity and for the creation, crystallized in the confession that Christ is Lord of all things.'
I just read this message from my gmail, after my wife Rose and I just came from Visita Iglesia. I think this message sums up the reasons why we have to ponder the death and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, our Lord.
I always pray that my heart be like Jesus', that he takes away the sins in my heart and forgive me for the sake of His passion, death and resurrection, for my heart's sake.
In all the churches that my wife Rose and I visited, we have felt in a special way God's presence at Ermita Church (Nuestra Senora de Guia).
May our experience make our hearts like Jesus' Amen!
